The big question is: Whole-grain or white ? When having a pasta craving, you are confronted with choices. Do you know that whole-grain pasta has more fiber and nutrients than white pasta? What’s more, its glycemic index ( GI)  is also lower. The GI of whole-grain is high 20’s -30 while white is 40.
If you are watching your sugar levels, then it is safe to say that pasta ( whether white or whole-grain) is lower in GI than say, potatoes or bread.
The trick is in the portions. Obviously, a modest serving is better than an excessive one. Remember small bites. Not big ones. As always, practice moderation. #iamcoryquirino #eatright #pastalover
